Aaron Summerville

Aaron Summerville

PRESIDENT AND CFO

Aaron was educated at the University of Chicago, where in 2001 he received bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Music. He continued his studies part-time to obtain an MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from the Booth School of Business in 2005. Concurrently, he worked as a Manager with InfoWorks – the database marketing analytics arm of Rapp Collins Worldwide. In 2006 he joined Regency as the CFO. In addition to his duties at Regency, he volunteers as Cub Master of his local Cub Scout Pack and as a committee member of the local Scouts BSA Troop.

CEO

Skip’s education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in BA-Finance graduating Cum Laude. While acting as President of Regency Seating Inc. today, Skips’ past includes Director of NOPA (National Office Products Association) and founding director of the NPA buying group. This eventually lead to his being Chairman of the IS Group buying cooperative, assuming responsibility for oversight and all strategic planning of the at the time 2.7 billion dollars in sales corporation.

MARKETING MANAGER

Jimmy Russell earned his Marketing degree from Malone University in 2020 and has been an integral part of Regency since joining the same year. As Marketing Manager, he leads the marketing department and plays a key role in shaping the company’s strategic vision as a member of the leadership team. Jimmy oversees Regency’s E-commerce and Catalog accounts, ensuring a carefully curated product assortment that aligns with market demands and strengthens key account partnerships. He has also traveled to Italy and Turkey to visit factories, building relationships with manufacturers and gaining firsthand insight into product development. His strategic approach to introducing new products helps Regency stay competitive in an ever-evolving marketplace, driving growth and innovation.

Tom Tolone

OUTSIDE CONSULTANT

Mr. Tolone began his career in 1976 as an accountant for Price Waterhouse. He later transitioned to the role of Treasurer at Paoli, a manufacturer and distributor of office furniture. Mr. Tolone was appointed as CEO of Paoli two years later, where he developed a management team which drove the company for the next 20 years. As CEO, Mr. Tolone was able to grow the company over six times in size, and he developed global business in Vietnam, Malaysia, and China. In 2007 he left Paoli to serve as President of Cherryman Industries, a California based importer of office furniture. Most recently, Mr. Tolone founded Tolone LLC, a consulting firm specializing in CEO mentorship and company growth strategies. All of Tolone LLC’s initial clients grew by double digits under the firms’ guidance. Mr. Tolone received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration from Millikin University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Indiana.

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Jessie Campbell brings over 20 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution, with a strong background in both sales and operations. She attended the University of Akron for Chemical Engineering, and specializes in streamlining operations and driving sustainable business growth. She holds certifications in Supply Chain Management from Rutgers University and Data Analysis from Google. Outside of work, she’s an avid ultra runner and a proud wife and mother.

Our Story – Humble Beginnings to Global Connections

Regency Office Furniture is a family-owned and operated business proudly rooted in Akron, Ohio since 1940. Originally founded as Summervilles’ Inc., an office supply and furniture retailer, our journey began with a bold and trailblazing leader — Norma Summerville. Known across the region as "The Original Bad Girl of Office Furniture,” Norma broke barriers in business leadership and built a reputation for excellence, innovation, and fearless determination.

Under Norma’s guidance, Summervilles’ became a local powerhouse, winning numerous regional advertising awards and becoming the first retailer in downtown Akron to offer on-site store parking and an indoor furniture showroom. After Norma stepped down in 1987, her son, John “Skip” Summerville, took the reins and, in 1997, officially launched the Regency Office Furniture brand. Today, Skip and his son Aaron continue the legacy, combining timeless values with a forward-looking vision.

Over the decades, our company has expanded to include multiple sub-brands that meet diverse customer needs. In 2009, we introduced Niche, a home-focused furniture line designed for modern living. Soon after, we launched RGS Furniture, our dealer-exclusive division that ensures commercial buyers get personalized service and product variety tailored to their customers.
